What Envelope Styles and Templates are Available?

The first question you should ask your envelope printer is what styles are available to you as a client. Some popular styles available currently include #10 envelopes, booklet envelopes, remittance envelopes and offering envelopes. The main envelope standard systems you should be aware of are the USA standard envelope, and the ISO metric envelope, which is used in Europe and many other countries in the world. You can also choose different details for the flaps and borders of the envelopes.

How Much Lead Time do I Plan For?

Lead time depends greatly on what services you have requested, and how much you have ordered. While time frames may vary, in general you should expect orders to be completed between 5-10 business days. If you have a strict deadline to meet, then allow yourself even more time in case any unexpected delays come up. Also, it is imperative that the printing company has all of the components needed for your mailing, such as address files, printed documents and envelopes.

3 Ways to Customize Envelopes

1. Font size and style: By having a unique font for your company or business, your envelopes will stand out in a client’s mind. Be careful not to go over the top, though, as you do not want to confuse your customers or make it hard to read pertinent information.

2. Graphics: You can include a graphic of your logo, company name, or an image to add a personal touch to your envelopes.

3. Embossing and foil stamping: Foil stamping is a newer technique that uses heated die to fuse foil onto the envelope paper. The result is a beautiful shimmer and texture added to images or text. The same surface can also be embossed with another die to create a raised or three-dimensional image, wonderful for any personal or business project.
